Hey! It's NyNe, your teen fashionista, and fall is officially my favorite season to get dressed. The mornings are chilly, the afternoons warm back up, and game days are everything. Here are my go-to tips for looking cute without trying too hard:
1. Layer like you mean it
Fall weather can't make up its mind, so I don't fight it. Denim jacket over a hoodie, easy on and easy off. Cute at 8 AM, still cute at 3 PM.
2. Boots are the whole outfit
Chunky boots instantly make jeans — or a skirt with tights — look put together. One good pair of boots and you're set for the whole season.
3. School spirit, but make it fashion
Game day is my runway. Rep your school colors, then add your own twist — a cute bow, a fun jacket, your favorite sneakers. Spirit wear doesn't have to look boring.
4. The after-practice uniform
Oversized hoodie, leggings, sneakers. Done. Comfort is a whole vibe, and after practice, cute AND comfy wins every time.
5. Thrift first
Some of my favorite pieces are thrifted — vintage denim, soft flannels, things nobody else has. Cute does not have to cost a lot, and finding the gem is half the fun.
6. One statement piece
Let one thing do the talking: a fun bag, a cool jacket, a bow. Everything else stays simple, and that one piece makes the whole outfit.
7. Cozy textures, always
Chunky knits, corduroy, fleece — fall is for feeling as good as you look. If it's soft and it makes you smile, wear it.
The real tip? Wear what makes YOU feel like you. Confidence is the best thing in your closet, and it goes with everything.
